A Year in the Making | Georgia Newborn Photographer

I love when a plan comes together! One of the great honors of this job is to get to watch a little one grow their first year. Last year was a huge baby year at The Cottage, so I was in heaven! Each session provides it’s own opportunity for creativity, and because you get a new little personality each time, everyday is a new day.

Newborns. Ah, newborns. The smell. The flakey skin. The funny faces. I loooooove my time with sweet new ones. My favorite look is a pure baby on or in white, but every family has their own color scheme, props, and personalities, which makes the creative juices flow. At the end of a session, I am sweaty like I’ve run a marathon, I have had my baby fix, and I can collapse with a cup of coffee satisfied. Sweet Baby E slept like a princess and let me make multiple “wardrobe” changes!

At her 6 month appointment, E was showing exactly what she thought of her princess status! Her momma has a hard time getting her to wear a bow, but she didn’t mind her crown at all! 😉 The 6 month session is a fun time to watch them weeble wobble as they are learning to sit. They have those wide open mouth smiles, and the drool!! Drool is everywhere! It is fast and furious and fun!

12 month sessions are carefully planned and oh so bittersweet. I know that I won’t be getting to see them every 3-6 months and I can join their momma in being so proud and sad at the same time at how much they’ve grown! This is a great time to grab a shot of them balancing on their feet, pulled up, and digging into their cake. I love different themes and props and activities we get to play with a 1 year old.

It was a pleasure to watch your first year Little E! If I find out you’re ruling the world by 5, I won’t be surprised!

Stay tuned! There’s new baby info coming soon from The Cottage!
