The first couple weeks of life are so precious and fleeting. It’s time that escapes us easily in the flurry of figuring out this new little human. As a mom, I look back and have dream-like memories of those first days with my babies – the pink toes, little puffy eyes, and fuzzy hair. They grow so quickly and change before we know it. That is why we recommend you have a newborn session around 7-10 days old. If you miss this window, don’t despair! We can still do a beautiful newborn session; however, around a week old, babies are still in that sleepy, cocoon state, and will tolerate us playing with them a little more without waking.
